Mike171 new (to me) 120G

There should be plenty, I don't have my return pump yet though so I'll get one and make sure I have adaquet room. any suggestion on a return?

I'm getting a Water Blaster for mine. I could sell you my Mag24 if you wanted, might be a little much if it's only running the return and not any reactors. Though the guy that I bought the tank from just ran the Mag for his return and his SPS loved the flow.

I added three unions (didn't get a picture of them) I added one on each pipe as soon as it exits the overflow (so I lowered the ball valve), and the third after the pipes all come into one pipe (near the stand brace). thanks for the advice guys, any more on plubming before i bond them together permanatly?

Is there any type of PVC solvent that I should/shouldn't use for putting this together or does it matter?

This is what I would do. I would have ONE ball valve on ONE drain line.

Can you add a street elbow in the overflow box? If you can (it may need to be cut down or use a smaller size) put it in the bulk head without the bulkhead facing up. With it this way you want to adjust the ball valve till the water rises up in the overflow and just barely trickles over the 90. This will make it dead quiet. Do not tee your drains together if you plan on only having one drain. So no 2 to 1 fittings on the drain.

In the 20 Drain both drains to one compartment or into a filter sock. Have the skimmer there as well. Added baffles at least 1 inch apart with the middle one 1 inch of the bottom. If you plan on doing 10% water changed keep the return section more than 10% of total system volume. I you do this you can keep the system running during a water change. Plus a larger return section will not need topping off as frequently.

Of the return pump ( I like blow holes) instal a union. Then go up to a tee. Then add a valve on each. End of that. Then route one to the fugue and the other to the tank. The fugue can gravity drain back to the sump in the skimmer compartment.

I like the bigger tank as the sump. You will need to fit a lot of stuff in there.

A little cloudy ill get more pics as it clears up.

At the moment I don't have the sump/fuge hooked up so water level is below the overflow box.

Since the plumbing isn't all together yet I am running a Rena Canister filter and just dropped a heater in it.

How long have you had water in it?

Ignore the maxijets and the low water (oh and the heater in the back) level plumbing still isn't quiet done. So have a few powerheads in there for flow also running the Rena canister just for some filtration.
Tested Ammonia today read .50ppg
