What makes it difficult?

sorry, didn't catch the follow up post.
it's a deep water gorgonian.
this one, and the red with white polyps (not the one simon has) both are. carib variety.
I haven't been able to keep either of them. they eventually start dying in spots and alae starts growing on the dead spot areas and then they are toast.

My footprint is 64 x 26 x 18 inches shallow and I have three scopas. they all like the fox face.
