Well everone I finally got started on my frag tank build!!! After a few months of searching for the black acrylic, and someone to cut it I finally found someone that had it. I got started this evening, and I'm excited to see the end result here in a week or so! Here are some pics.

Awesome man! About time haha, we were talking about this in october

Haha yes we have @cameronh Im shooting to have it done by next week, and set up by the end of the month. @sticky polyps yes it is gonna be an all in one. Thats what I prefer. To me it seems easier than drilling, and plumbing a sump

Cool dude, any idea yet on what you will use for lighting? I remember us talking about t5's awhile back. Have you test fitted it to the tank yet to make sure it's snug? (Not too tight)

Im gonna probably run the coralife t5 fixture thats 30 inches

So t5's are a good option for a frag tank?
Yeah man. Especially if they run the length of your tank. Then you can put some chaeto in the back of the 3 stage your building and it will get light as well.

Awesome man. On the first stage I plan on running filter floss, and carbon. Probably chaeto as biological on the second stage and the final will just be the return pump

Sounds good to me man. You going barebottom with it?

I dont know just yet. Im leaning towards barebottom. What do you think?

I think whatever you want to roll with man. If you do go bare bottom randomly place a few pieces of live rock in there to help with your biological filtration.

Weldon solvent would have been a much better choice to connect the acrylic pieces together. Hope it holds for ya.

@Pepcrylic I bought what they use to seal the tanks when they manufacture them. Thats what I used to join them

They do not use silicone to manufacture acrylic tanks. They use solvent I am assuming the picture that is posted shows some type of silicone smeared at the connections of the acrylic
