Finally got around to setting up the tank and got the plumbing done.

Currently freshwater testing...

Equipment List:

80 Gallon Deep Blue Rimless w/ Series 1 Stand
8 Bulb Sunlight Supply Tek Light
Skimz 181 Protein Skimmer
Mag 9.5 Return Pump
2 Finnex 300w Heaters
2x MP40wES
Tunze Osmolater ATO

Sump is set up skimmer, return pump and fuge. I also have a manifold setup T'ed off return pump that supplies fuge, carbon and GFO reactor, and the option to add another one for future equipment.

Hoping to be able to get my rock work made up soon, going for a bonsai look that will be SPS and Zoa dominated with a few select LPS pieces.

Well that's it for now. A few pictures to follow, stay tuned...

Thanks everyone, placed a few orders today for some TLF phosban 150 reactors, 35lbs of key largo shelf rock from Marco rock to accompany the other 25lbs of shelf rock I have. Hoping to make a nice low profile rock scape to maximize coral space.

Hoping to have a bunch of tabling acros and millis, I think they will look great once grown out for a top down tank. Hopefully get some nice size Zoa colonies as well.

Decided to change gears a bit. Decided to drill the floor and do a basement sump. Sump will be a 30L with a Chaeto section an then a 50 breeder as a display refugium.

50 breeder is currently holding my livestock from my last tank. When I can safely transfer everything to the 80 I will plump in the 50 breeder.

Fun! Love the tank and the aquascape so far. Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

Thanks everyone! I'm very excited as well. Transferring livestock is gonna take some time as I have a lot of corals that I'd really like to keep. Any advice on the best practice to transfer? 2 clowns, purple tang and a mandarin? And a bunch of corals.

All livestock has been safely transferred as well. No pictures yet as I was focusing on cleaning the disaster I made. But all corals opened up with 10 minutes.

Pics tomorrow.
