Minimum CP quarantine time

I understand keeping "full therapeutic" levels but have a question. I re-fill my tanks by pumping saltwater from my saltwater mixing tank. If I do a 2-3 gallon water change (I've been running my QT with 8-9 gallons of water), it will take 3 or 4 minutes to re-fill. If I add CP to replenish right after I add the new saltwater, CP levels (or copper levels if I'm using copper), might drop below "full therapeutic" for a few minutes. Would this small window be a problem? Obviously the saltwater could be pumped into a bucket where the CP or copper is then added, but that adds a level of difficulty due to my physical handicap. The way I would probably have to do it is add around 1.5 gallons of saltwater to a 2 gallon bucket, mix-in the medication, pour into the QT, and then repeat the process to replace 3 gallons. It's not a huge deal, but it makes the process more cumbersome.

I can indeed create a problem and a window of time for the parasite to get a new foothold and continue it's life cycle.

+1 Murphy's law will eventually catch up with you, unless you dot every i and cross every t.

^^ Agree, you can do that, but it depends on how much risk you are willing take. Copper or CP will not kill the parasite instantly, they need some time, and dropping the copper level might give the parasite a chance to repeat the cycle again. I understand your point and it is sometimes labor intensive and frustrating, but all of this is done to ensure that the medication approaches 100% success rate as close as possible.
