i just added a pair of clownfish and a 6 line wrasse today, they were fine for about two hours and i came back to them and the wrasse is totally gone, i looked around in the tank and i can't find him. i have a lid on the tank and i checked the chambers in the back and i didn't see him. I also looked around on the outside of the tank to be sure. has anyone else had to deal with this? thanks

They can hide pretty good. If you cant find him outside the tank wait a day or two.

I haven’t seen them hide in the sand but as mentioned the can hide really well, I’d give it some time

Yea they hide in the sand.
They give themselves a slimy cocoon and bury into the sand. Give him a fee days to acclimate and you may see him again.

he started active for a few hours, he disappeared as soon as the lights went off is that when they do it?

They can get spooked pretty easily. When I was moving my tank to another house I never caught him, I emptied all the water but the sand. He was gone. He apparently was in there because he reappeared after I refilled it.

Just give it a day or so and see if he appears.
Otherwise look ALL over the room the tank is in. Those sucker's are fast and can jump across whole rooms.

Check your overflow area real good. I had a blenny squeeze through the slots on the overflow and it was in the back by my pump. Needed a flashlight to see it. I also stopped the flow so there were no ripples

Yes, but that is a pretty small tank for a pair of clowns by themselves, let alone another aggressive fish like a six line.
Exactly, if something does happen, and th clowns r left, they willl either host the whole tank, or just a spot, if they host the whole tank, no more fish for u, they will attack those fish and assassinate them
My 1 clown owns my whole tank…
