missing 6 line

My wife and I looked for a fish for over 30 minutes yesterday and he was NOWHERE. I checked all over the house in case he flopped away. Put the kids to bed, came upstairs, and he's swimming around like he never even left.... They can HIDE! Just wait. You'll see it again... I bet hes in one of the holes in the further rock in your pic.
Yeah, been found already.

A mandarin? They require 55 gal+ tanks
A Mandarin Goby? Or as it actually is called a Mandarin Dragonett, they can totally be in a smaller system, especially if you get a real good one that was captive bred, and you can get to eat, with supplement of Pods. I too was worried about it, but one of my LFS gets awesome Mandarins that do great in any tank. My nephew had this dude since February so far, and he is fat and happy! Thanks @EeyoreIsMySpiritAnimal for the help here.

Trust me I know all the myths surrounding these dudes, but lots has changed, If you can find them from an LFS that gets them from a supplier and they are already eating some food, you have a great survival rate chance with them, again supplement with pods in the beginning...but eventually they do just fine.

update yall i found him! he was wayyyy inside of a rock, thanks everyone for the help!
Awesome. Give it a few days and keep feeding, it will be all over your tank hanging out and living his best life.

i just added a pair of clownfish and a 6 line wrasse today, they were fine for about two hours and i came back to them and the wrasse is totally gone, i looked around in the tank and i can't find him. i have a lid on the tank and i checked the chambers in the back and i didn't see him. I also looked around on the outside of the tank to be sure. has anyone else had to deal with this? thanks
I added mine yesterday as well...This AM he didn't come out to eat and I thought he didn't make the night. Then I saw him on the web cam a few hours later. I looked from every angle and mine is pretty much full grown. Good hider.
