Can you post pics of your reef? what kind of corals do you breed?

I’ll try to post some updated pics. Most of the frags are relatively small since my tank has only been up 1 year now, and the frags in for much less than that. Build link in sig.

ok, I'm waiting for updates. However, it is very difficult to get an idea because you can see few reefs with these GH L mounted and it is difficult for acropolis and they are better than G4 radion

A few pics from this week. Keep in mind that the tank and frags are still pretty young.

For reference, the sandbed is 275-300 par. Low rocks are 300 at least. The left and middle sections are 325-400, and the big tall arch rock is 400-450 on top.

And this is what Mitras UV burn looks like. I had to back down the UV amount for a few corals due to this.

That 385nm channel is strong!

thanks for the photos; what program do you use? I have purchased two ghl lx7204 is an aquaticlife hybrid fixture 4x39 watt. I'll put it all together on a Reef 100x60x60. which combination do you recommend to use?

T5 bulb combo? I like the white from coral plus. Blue plus has a nasty green tint to it that I personally dislike. It’s okay if combined. Maybe 2 BP, 1CP, 1PP. Or just run all 4 BP and use the LEDs to make it look like you want.

In your opinion What is the best led schedule whit mitras for sps corals?

Is that directed at me? The schedule I posted above is what works for me and my setup. You can download the lighting schedule and look at the rough graph from the pics.

Hi all, need a quick answer if possible please. I'm interested in buying a Mitras LX7. Is just one suitable for a 3ft tank? Buying second hand and only 1 available.

What are your other tank dimensions and what type of corals? I have 6 over a 6X2X2 SPS dominant tank.

I havent got the tank yet but i'm in the process of buying up bits and pieces as money is available and the right stuff comes up for sale. It will be a new tank though dimensions 900mm long x 500mm wide x 600mm deep. Sump will be 800 x 350 x 400 Total water volume 267 litres. It will be my second tank, but my first serious one. The one I have now is nano 85litres. With regard corals I will be starting off slowly with softies and some lps but the aim is to eventually go for sps. So I would rather get the lights right now. I am also looking at Radion xr15's x 2. So which would be best for my set up and level of experience

For softies and LPS, I think 1 LX7 would work OK depending on mounting height and rockwork height. For SPS, you may want 2 LX7s. I chose the LX7s over the Radions because of the great light spread and color blending. Because of braces and short canopy height (8"), I felt the Radions would have intense "hotspots". Either way, the LX7s and Radions are great lights. You could also start with 1 LX7 or 2 XR15s and add more fixtures as you acquire SPSs.

today the 2 mitras lx 7204 have arrived ... I need help .. I can't configure one as master and one as slave ... how is it done? also ckme do I connect them via wifi to program them?

@Peppe - I am hoping this is the done the same way as it is for a LX7206:). Was going to look at them at reefaplooza so I could do a quick video on how to set them up.

On the general tab set the Lx7204 you want to be master as master.

Set the channel to be 11 and the channel to be 1

On the slave unit set the mode to slave and set the channel to 11 and the address to 2.

Let me know if this works :)

ok i'll try; instead to connect them via wifi should I use the setting to maintain the auto-ip?

I placed static up on mine just because if I have a power outage I want my devices to come back with the same IP without logging into the router and doing IP reservation.

But auto will work also. Do you have them on your wireless network already?
