Montipora help!!

6.2 to 6.4 I know its low, but it does not turn de media to mulch, it takes a looot of time for me to refil the reacto, once a year or so

I know ARM can be a pain.
Next time use TLF reborn media if that's available.
That should melt by a PH from 6.5 already.

funny and thank god you tell me to use TLF, Ill get 50 lbs of the stuff tomorrow[emoji106][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] its BRS day!!!

do you think I should change the media in the reactor tomorrow or let the arm media melt...?

I would change it ASAP.
The sooner you get a grip on your ALK, CAL and MAG balance the faster you can figure out what the problem was or is that causes your monti's to STN.
I also would go a head and frag your monti's and get rid of the dead tissue ASAP, in that case you can dip your pieces to see if you don't have a pest for real, in your case Monti eating nudi's.

ok ill change it tomorrow!!

well the monties are all incrusted, and the green one it 7 years old.. so its like 26*30*40 inches... its one biiiig cookie [emoji514]

Well up to you but if they encrust they will encrust faster over rock than over dead coral tissue.

I keep getting hung up on the change in flow because I almost killed a plating monti in my system by literally shifting a powerhead an inch or two too far in the wrong direction. Didn't "look" like it was getting any more flow, but when I moved it back, it started to recover within a few days. Could be a chemistry issue, just seems odd that its randomly affecting some and not others. Just my two cents :D

This image looks like a shading issue that you see with plating monti's

I am I correct that you are doing 2 part,Kalk and a CalRx on this tank. Boy that is a lot to juggle. Is the CalRx not keeping up with the demands of the tank? I would get one that would and stop the 2 part and kalk.

Watch your temp closely. Mine did the same thing and figured out my heaters weren't "tuned in" properly

thankx

ok so I just changed the cal media, the arm media looks kinda intact!! and look like rock not coral.... the new TLF media is coral skeletons... hope this helps!

well.... my cal is now 449, and mu alk is sky high at 14!!! had to remove the 2 part and the kalk!, also reduced the calcium reactor effluent speed and had to bump the cal reactor ph from 6.5-6.6 to 6.65-6.75.... what the heck!!!! was my arm
media real bad!!!! OMG this is just incredible!!!
