What about using a qt that has had copper in it but replace 100% water and clean equipment to use cp on other fish?
That would be fine.

So what would be the timeline to follow as to dosing those meds? Can skimmer run? Anything different with the big three? If I did can I use both the meds you recommended earlier at the same time with copper and cp?Yes, you dose all 3 directly into a QT. You can mix with copper just fine.
Or are you asking how a MI will do in copper? I prefer to use CP on them, but a LFS I advise uses Coppersafe on them all the time.

What about the two you gave me links to?

Can I use a ammonia patch from copper tank in anything else? Can it get dry?
No care is required beyond removing algae with a clean, soft material. Avoid touching the sensor with fingers, since skin oils can damage it. Do not use bleach, soap, detergents or hard objects to clean the sensor. Some dye medications may discolor the sensor. Sensitivity improves with age, provided the unit is not allowed to dry out, however, drying does not permanently impair the unit. For maximum sensitivity, the unit should be read under natural daylight or daylight simulating light. Red enhancing light minimizes green and blue hues, decreasing the apparent sensitivity of the unit. The response of the unit may be checked by holding it briefly over the mouth of an ammonia bottle: color should develop rapidly.
Might have to check the ammonia check out...i didn't know that you could check that! Thanks!I would only use it in a QT. As regards on how to "care" for the alert badge, I copy & pasted this from here: http://www.seachem.com/ammonia-alert.php
Hey @Humblefish, I missed a question. So essentially I would have to get both maracyn and maracyn 2 correct?
So i could dose both at the same time correct? Lympho? For an eye infection, that combination would be ideal. However, just Maracyn might work.

Can other fish get lympho from it?Yes, you can dose Maracyn & Maracyn 2 together. That combination will treat eye and other infections. However, it provides no benefit for Lympho. As a virus, only the fish's natural immune system can keep Lympho in check. Feeding vitamin enriched foods and maintaining excellent water quality helps boost the immune system.
I used to swim with those all of the time and I've never seen one in the wild that wasn't healthy. However, moorish idols are a problematic species to keep in captivity. In my opinion they are one of those species that are best kept in the ocean.

I have to disagree with this, as this species has been kept in captivity for 5-10 years under the right conditions. You have to be willing to center your tank around one and meet the following criteria:I used to swim with those all of the time and I've never seen one in the wild that wasn't healthy. This is not an easy species to keep. Make sure you understand the requirements of this fish before trying to save it.You have to be willing to center your tank around one and meet the following criteria:
Can you mix marcyn 1 & 2??+1 Erythromycin + minocycline would be the best bet for an eye infection.
