So sorry for your loss. For a fish to die that rapidly, it would indicate a gram negative infection. Only way to be sure would to do a scrape and stain test.

thanks, yea or maybe it succumbed to internal injury or had a stroke or heart attack(if those happen), who knows. If it was from that bacteria I don't need to worry about sterilizing the qt though right? The bacteria is usually present anyway just needs a wound to take over?
