Before this tank I had a 29g, but i wanted something nicer looking so i downgraded a little to a mr. aqua. My liverock, coral, and most of my equipment are going into it. Here it is, as it stands now:

been busy trying to put together a decent rockscape:

Welcome to the contest! Tank looks cool! ;)

Thanks.

These are the coral i will be moving over, they are all some sort of LPS, but i also have a ricordia:

And a close up of the sump:

Im using an SC-65 skimmer, and while it skims pretty well, i have issues with keeping microbubbles from escaping. So there is a single baffle with drains that will direct all the water into a filter sock/socks.

For the overflow, I built a MAME overflow replica out of PVC, which will be spray painted back. I used another one of these on my older tank, it was super quiet & almost never had problems restarting the siphon. The only flaw with these kinds of overflows is that they have a rather low GPH output, but that really isn't a problem for me.

Tank looks nice look foward to seeing what you come up with for the rockscape. For the entry picture you also need to place a lid in the tank along with the paper with your user name.

Welcome to the contest. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Good luck

is a problem that i filled it already?

Just make sure you could take another pic with the lid in it as it would be a shame to see you disqualified over a technicality

Check out the stickies for this forum. All contestants are required to take a pic of their tank with a Tupperware type lid in it to ensure all tanks have been started at the same time with no livestock in it before the 15th

im going to do mostly LPS, like 3-6 SPS pieces, and a few zoas.

updated FTS:

Im running my old overflow while the new dries, so i could give my skimmer a chance to break in.

Looks awesome! That rockscape is going to look sweet once the corals start growing! It already looks cool but it's going to look exceptional I think in time. :D
