I agree I love the rockscape, thinking it is going to look awesome once you get your corals in.

Thanks guys, it took me a while to put that rock together and I'm glad people actually like it.

I probably won't be able to finish stocking this tank by the time this contest over, due to lack of $$$. But here is what I have planned for the tank as of now:

I can probably afford a few small frags in addition to the ones I have now, and am also planning to get a bunch of nano gobies, but for now I plan on getting a hifin/pistol pair, until I can afford to buy more.

Currently, I have to wait for the tank cycle, as well as wait for the paint on my overflow to fully cure. Also need to build a cover so the goby can't jump out, and I'm going to hang the fixture as well as get a couple of new bulbs.

figured out how the light will be hung, but im still using it for the coral in the holding tank, so i can make adjustments later. also added two ATI blue + bulbs.

here is a picture of the new overflow i made. also made a "goby guard", so my gobies won't go down the overflow.

Here are the corals I am moving over:

Prism favia ~5 heads- $50
Orange crush acan ~10 heads- $50
Red acan lord ~6 heads- $35
1" x 1" favia mini colony-$25
2" x 1.5" ponape birdsnest mini colony- $30
1" ponape birdsnest frag- $10
2x 1" pink birdsnest frags- $5
kryptonite candycane 3-5 heads- $15
blue/gold ricordia 1x .75" polyp- $15
blue candy cane 2 polyps- $5
1" orange crush acan frag- $5
blue/purple acan lord 1 head- $5

total: $250

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the corals once you get them in.

Its looking great so far! I really like the aquascape. I mean the rock lol
How do you like the overflow? Is it loud and does it require much maintenance and is it hard to make?
Sorry for all the questions

Are u running 4 bulbs of t5? What's your bulb combo? It's looking really blue which I like?

the overflow is easy to make and very quiet

it's actually 2 aquatic life linkable fixtures, so 4 bulbs. the bulb combo is as follows:

ATI blue +
ATI aquablue special
ATI purple +
ATI blue +

as for an update on the tank, not much, my cycle still isn't completely over. but im using API test kits, so who really knows? i'll have to take it to my LFS.

also my dad gave $84 (not really sure why lol), so i can buy more frags/gobies than i planned for this tank :)

Very cool dad!

Update:

I moved all the coral over, and the fixture is in its place. Also made a section of my sump a fuge, but the cheato is going to be in a breeder box since I don't have baffles there.

Here is what can be expected in the next few days or few weeks, depending on how my water params look and if I can get some of my old equipment sold.

getting a tunze 6015 to replace my koralia 750 (it's too much for this tank)
Adding an elongate dottyback as well as one or two small gobies
More coral, depending on how much $$$ I have and the price of each piece

New pics and an FTS tomorrow!

new FTS, ended up adding a koralia 425 instead. probably going to add a koralia 240 as well.

Big update!

I got my first fish yesterday, a tanaka possum wrasse! I also bought a spongodes monti, som palys, and a small lobo, all for $30. So I am at $280 for coral.

New FTS:

i added an island cave so the wrasse could have more places to explore, since he doesn't like to go out in the open.
