camera + is a great app for phone pictures IMO. It has editing capabilities to increase the temp of a picture, this washing out the blue and providing a very accurate picture. Of course it can still be used to over edit photos, but once you figure it out can help turn those blue reef tank pics into how it looks to your eyes

Hig789 I am interested in using an app to keep myself on track. I just checked out Aquarimate and Aquaplanner Pro. What is the benefit of paying 10 dollars for the app in your opinion? ease of use? features? I have been logging things but it has just been a continuous memo on my Iphone and am looking for a better option.

I've been trying out Aquatic Log since the 16th and I have to say I'm a fan. It allows me to be diligent while being lazy at the same time.

"Oh hey I just manually dosed x that I dose everyday" click "repeat" then "add" bam, logged.

I also find it useful in the sense that if I'm having an issue I can link directly to any of my pages and anybody can see everything that has been done to my tank, something I may not think to add from a log may catch somebody's eye.

Works with mobile as well as integrating with some controllers, though I haven't played around with those features yet.

Using Android, I rely on Aquarimate. It's not cheap for an app, but well worth it IMO.

Aquarimate is pretty much fully customizable allowing you add just the parameters that you test for. I bought aquaplanner pro also. Aquarimate is just nicer and easier to use imo

Im using Aquarium Note on android. it allows you to log photos, keeps track of how long you have had fish by acquisition date, graphs for parameters, etc.

I like the reminders that aquaplanner offers. Tells you when to dose, change water or socks. All you have to do is set time/dates/amounts.
Also helps keep track of water parameters.
Keep track of all livestock, dates of purchase, when, where, cost, species. Also allows you to add your own pics.

I have been using Aquarimate which I love. I'm not sure how I would schedule tasks without it. My only complaint is I wish it would sync online so I could access the graphs and stats on my computer.

How does aquaplanner compare?
