Just did a test, no ammonia nitrate or nitrite still waiting for ammonia to kick in so i can see if my biological filtration is working ph is down to 8 also
Hopefully you'll soon see a rise in nitrite/ nitrate soon too.. the high ph could be contributed to your ammonia. Ammonia has a fairly high ph so this could definetly be a factor.
Test the ph again after you start seeing reductions in ammonia, most likely it will also go down
Ok just tested today no ammonia or nitrate to be found i've added a decent amount of pellets everyday, I even turned off my filter I think my tank was probably cycled at one point but my water change screwed everything up just going to wait for my bio-spira that I just orderd to come in the mail put that in and maybe give it a week till I add fish.
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Copper 0
Calcuim 450
High pH 8.1
All my levels are good but if I add fish and my biological filtration isnt working im screwed...
i've added 2m of seachem stability
1m of prime
My water temp stays around 79-80 i orderd a bottle of bio-spira just incase the stability doesnt work i've added around a total of 20 pellets the past few days and my ammonia hasnt spiked at all turned my filter and powerhead off also!
I honestly would just stick with the 2 clownfish (make sure they're small) I wouldent add a 3rd fish in such a small tank already stocked with 2 active fish and make sure your salinity is right at 1.25 for those inverts
Yeah, I know I'm pushing it... so I'm going to let it stabilize after I add 2 clowns to check if the system can handle them or not before I decide on the pistol/goby. Need to go slow and let it handle itself. Need to wait for it to mature before pushing it more.
