My 180 build.

I make a few on the side also but I never have the time for more than just friends n family projects.

With acrylic being not so easy to come by where I am. And to have it shipped in. With the cost of it already. It would cost a ton of money.

Wouldn't life be nice if you could just make 6 figures playing with fish tank stuff all day! Oh man. I would love it!

So latest update. I did a water test and I also built the over flow.

Bump for another update. It's coming along now. Full speed ahead. Found a great deal on rock and sand. Absolutely awesome. So the sump. I just welded in the remaining piece for the drains.

Next is the stand. It's double layered 3/4 in marine grade plywood and birch wood for trim. All that is left is sand. Stain. Poly. Finish backing for doors. And magnet hardware. I am not putting hinges on the door as I want to be able to completely remove for any service.

So I am debating on drilling holes in the divider between the skimmer chamber and the refugium. So that water passes thru rubble I plan to pile up. And add a short divider. Between the rubble and miracle mud.

Also got the doors done today on the stand. Next is stain

and also in the pic built the lighting grid. For the rapidLED's.
And last but not least. Overflow is test fitted on the tank.

Awesome progress! Your work is inspiring...I love DIY stuff, but don't think I could ever take on such a project!

the day has finally come. On Sunday. The stand will be put in place along with the sump. The tank still need the returns drilled and have those and the over flow installed. And also paint the back of the tank. It's been a long road to get here. But I can see the light. Starting the 17th I am going to build the canopy and start the LED install. If the parts come in on time. More pics to follow. Again my apologies for taking so long. Stupid job. Lol
