Hey guys, I wanted to start my own post here just to introduce you to my setup. I will be including pics throughout the posts, mostly of corals! I'd like to start off by telling you my name is Daniel. I didn't know if I had said that in any previous posts.

Like I said it is a 20G reef, with a CPR Aquafuge 2 Refugium with built in Skimmer. It is made for a 75 gallon, but I like to be on the safe side. I have 38 lbs of live rock in the display. With another 7 lbs in the refugium, along with some chaeto. I have a Subcurrent Filter that I can poly filter in where if needed I can put some carbon or other media in for some mechanical filtration. I use a MP 10 for flow and run it at about 800 GPH. I have a 4 bulb T5 fixture with Led moonlight's. My bulbs are all Geissman consisting of 2 Aqua Blues, 1 Actinic +, and 1 Fiji pink. I run my lights with actinic and pink for 2 hours, then add my Daylights for 7 hrs, and then for another hour only the actinic and Pink.

I do weekly 15% water changes. When I say weekly it could be up to 9 or 10 days at times. I dose Reef Solution and a Vitamin/ amino Acid formula daily alternating solutions. I feed my fish daily with Mysis Shrimp and Emerald Entree. I hand feed.all of my corals every other day with mysis shrimp for the Los and Rotifers with Reef Chili for my softies and SPS. Because of my weekly changes and over filtration I am able to do this with no changes in water chemistry. I check my levels every other water change before the change to be sure of this. My levels are as follows.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0
Nitrates - 5-10
Salinity -1.026
Ph - 8.2
Alkalinity - 8.7
Calcium - 450
Mg -1300
Phosphates - .05

I will be adding pictures in my next post.

Can't wait!

It may be a typo but calcium should be around 450 and not 0. Alk at 11.2 seems a little high, but I've seen some people running it that high. I saw your pics on another thread so you must be doing something right.

Nice corals man! looks good. Living in the huge metropolis of Mt. Pleasant, can I ask where you get your corals?

I grow them from a coral seed! No but seriously, I got most from a store in Knoxville that a friend of mine use to run. It's called aquatic Marine. Most of the SPS came from a friend that lives in Knoxville. And then I did buy about 400 bucks worth at the swap.

Thanks man, if it ever splits, I'll get ya one if you want it. I'm all about doing some trading. I got 2 frag tanks cycling now and then I plan on moving some things around and growing out for a couple more months and then doing some fragging. I figure between trading for candy I don't have and selling some of them, I can start saving up for a larger setup to grow the things out like I really want to. Kinda hard to grow out the way I want in a 20g.
