Sorry I agree with you about using my money for what I need, I was stating that my plan was to get them a bigger tank, I will definitely clean it out and do everything I can and go on from there.

You're gonna get a lot of heat in this thread because your fish are in really poor water. For most of us, it's kind of shocking. If you truly want what's best for your fish, and you also want to keep them, you've got to pick up some habits quickly. Immediately. Change the water, right now, if you've got some water conditioner to dechlorinate the fresh water coming out of your sink. If you don't, go pick some up first thing tomorrow, then change the water. After that, you need to change about 10% of the water every week. Feed only as much food as can be eaten in a couple of minutes--the rest falls to the bottom and fouls up the tank with waste. If you can't commit to that, your fish will suffer slowly and die, so the best thing to do would be to bring them back to a fish store that can give them the proper care. If you're running low on funds and need a filter, many of us have extras, including me, and we can send to you.

Oh I highly considered the fact that I was going to get HEAT but all the help is greatly appreciated.

If you have a Facebook consider finding local freshwater groups. Many people have extra supplies they’d be willing to give for free in emergency situations. Like when your filter broke

That is the nastiest water I have ever seen.. you could flush them down the toilet and would be better water quality and better chances of living

Friend, I suspect your fish may not even have a swim bladder infection. I think its just been straight-up poisoned. I know how hard it is to have to let go of a pet due to finances. As a kid, our family fell on some hard times and just couldn't provide the care for our beloved dog. Before it ever got to a point of neglect, we gave her to a family who could meet her needs. Now as an adult, I have a stable income and can care for the many pets I have. Please consider doing what's right for these fish and bringing them to your local fish store. I promise time will bring you on your feet financially and then you can start back up and give these animals their very best shot at life. Goldfish can live for over a decade. Its our responsibility as pet owners to make sure we are ready to care for them for their entire natural lifespan.
