So the authorities have deemed that white will look better with the current decor of thr living room, so i have sanded down and painted the skin and canopy.

The white make the tank stand out better

That is a nice looking tank

And thats not the final spot for the canopy still try to figure out how to make like a floating canopy without hanging it from the ceiling.

im thinking about getting some metal arms made that i can attach to the metal stand.

What kind of wall behind it? dry wall, block? 2 x4 or 2x6 ? You could always make a L shape bracket using 80/20, drill the 80/20 and lag screw it to the 2x4 or 2x6 or block.

I have a 2 inch one I bought. It's so cute. Now that I know what it is I'm worried I won't be able to keep up with its life style requirements.

They grow big really fast. I love mine his names freckles and he just has so much personality its crazy he even lets me pet him and hand feed him .

Is a 400 close to what it needs? I had a pacu back in the day. I ended getting a cow water tank. It was like 12 foot round and it still was not big enough. I ended up putting in the river just so I could live with my self. I'm sure it died, but I did not know else to do. It was so big I was feeding dog food..
