So last night I got home to the rocks and my H2overflow waiting. I just bought the basket a little upset it did not even come with screws wow anyway. I got 3 nice pieces of pukani one made my day !!!!! It was 19'' tall and about 5-6'' wide befor the hack saw I cut it down to 15''. I got a nice rock from that to make 4 pieces. I built some caves in it and glued on shelves. it looks good in the tank and hides the pipes . still working on the other rock work you can see what I have to work with. Saturday will be spent cleanin gthe tank with viniger and rock work.

I have the same tank that I just bought used. Would love to remove the overflow. Can you post some more pictures of your new overflow? I'm new to all this and trying to figure out what you did.

I took the old one and added a few pieces I can take a pic later when I get it together. I bought a H2overflow they are nice but, I only got the screen and it does not come with screws or plumbing. It fits with a little sanding of a 1 1/2'' 90 elbow.

Here is my plumbing and final set up Ready for sand and water

After this I will be plumbing up the sump with a manifold and new stuff
So far for this build I am using a borrowed sump that is in my tank stand. I will be starting the water today and hope to have this filled tomorrow and start the cycle. I will get a list of stuff I am going to have on this set up and post progress of the sump rebuild too :)

So last night I put the touches on the under cab sump I borrowed and got 2 32g brute containers full. Currently they are warming up and being agitated. Tonight I will finish the sand and start her up. Also last night I lost my tang :( I know he was at least 7 years old I think the stress of the move and the smaller confinement did him in.

Thanks, Well last night went ok. Got it filled and running,My sump area is a mess it was not built originally for this thank god it is temporary. Here are some pics from the night and this morning. I know I need to change out the outlet for a GFI its all I had at the moment but, its on its own circuit now :)

Thanks The tank still is cloudy just put some carbon in to try and knock the smell down a bit. I put in bio sphera and a ammonia source I did the testing today Should show in my sig

looks like my cycle is well under way the tank is still cloudy but, the smell has died down and I am getting excited to stock it

So I took out my ammonia source yesterday and feed the pods with alge pellets. My amm dropped to .25 still 1 for nitrite and 80 nitrate . Tomorrow will be a week since start

So looks like my ammonia cycle is done still have a nitrite of 1  My nitrates are 160 going to start up the reactor today. Not sure if I should do a water change or continue on my current path? Any ideas
