My 75 gal build thread from Alabama

On the brute can is that copper or brass valve fitting?

I'm not 100% sure on the size but i believe its America Valve 3/4 in male brass hose bibb from lowes. They have a bulkhead kit you can buy that screws on with a seal on the inside.

Sorry to hear about the initial setbacks, but it looks and sounds as if everything is going excellently for you, now! Are you medicating the fish in the QT, or just observing them? Just curious! :D

for the most part just observe and get them comfortable and eating over a couple weeks. If they start showing signs of illness i'll treat. got a firefish and royal gramma that started showing ich and successfully treated them in the QT before eventually moving them to the DT.

A little algae will remain until your rocks and sand leech out the phosphates that were absorbed previously. Just keep up with water changes, manual removal, and the GFO and it will die off eventually. Good work on you corrective measures! Everyone in this hobby has to pay their dues by making mistakes, and it looks like your getting back on track quickly. Its looking good again!

I also started a 75 around the same time as you. I also had a few set backs and saw my first batch of coral go south after my nitrates went out of control. It's not how we would have like for it to have gone, but the amount of knowledge that is gained by working thru our problems and getting our tanks back on track will make us better reefers in the end.
