Hey everyone I have a 75g tank right now that I am in the process of rebuilding. I hade the tank up and running great for a while but there were I few months where life got in the way and the tank has gone down hill real fast. First I will list off all my equipment and what's in the tank and all that and then as I fix it up and bring it back to life I will keep updating this thread to let everyone know what's going. I am hoping to get a few follower's to tag along on this journey with me and I will be asking for lots of advice along the way.

So here is a little bit about me. I am a low budget reefer with 2 kids so I don't have a lot of money to through around so do what I can when I can and I know that's not always the best especially when it comes to reef tanks. I am also a volunteer firefighter for a small department in upstate New York. But enough about me so lets got to the tank.

The tank is a 75g reef ready tank with a 1" drain and a 3/4" return. The tank sits on a heavy duty homemade stand that I built. I also built a sump out of a 40g breeder that has 3 chambers and a bubble trap. In the first chamber I have a vertex filter sock holder that's holds 4" filter socks that I make myself. In the first chamber I also have my protein skimmer witch is a Reef Octopus NWB110. The second chamber is a refugum with some sand and cheato and 2 small pieces of live rock. The fuge has a 6500k cfl light bulb that's grows the cheato. After the second stage I have a bubble trap to eliminate any micro bubbles that there might be. The last chamber is the return chamber that houses my return pump witch is a Mag 7.5, there is also my heater in this chamber witch is a Finnex titanium heater. There is also a BRS carbon reactor in this chamber that is fed right off my return line. For water circulation in tank I have a maxspec gyer 130. For lighting I have 2 mars aqua 160w led lights. I also have a reefkeeper elite on this system, the reefkeeper consists of the head unit, 2 PC4, a SL2, temperature probe, PH probe, conductivity probe, and the float switch kit. The ato for this tank is a toms aqua lifter pump that is hooked up to the reefkeeper elite and a 7g water jug. I also have a 6 stage BRS rodi unit that makes my rodi water and it is held in a 35g brute trash can.

As far as live stock goes I don't have much anymore. For fish I have a maroon clown, bristletooth tang, purple back dotty back, and a blue devil damsel. I also have a few snails a Halloween hermit crab, red leg hermit, feather duster, and a purple reef lobster that is in my fuge. My corals are a birds nest, green mushroom, umbrella mushroom, a few zoas, and a few star polyps on a rock in my sump. I also have a long tentacle anemone that is hosted by my maroon clown.

I will post some picks of the tank and then the rebuild process will begin. I look forward to herring from everyone about what I am doing.

I have a new light on the way I bought another mars aqua led to hold me over until I can get the lights I want witch will be the AI leds I also ordered a booster pump for my RO/DI I went with a aquafx pump that I ordered from marine depot so I'm slowly getting my equipment to get this tank to where I want it

Keep up the good work!

The new booster pump for the RO/DI is hooked up and running and making water and I'm starting to make some salt water for a much needed water change

Nice! I love my new booster pump, it takes a little over an hour to make 5g now. Where it was taking over 2 before.
