My 9 months old SPS tank

Beautiful, Yanir. Your pics remind me of the old RC days. Wish you were closer so I could get some frags.

Thanks a lot....I really appreciate the old RC happy days , it was awesome!
I remember those MEGA size sps colonies , that growed fast , densed and uniform shape.
Man , those days are gone ...today most of the reefers are using snake oils "coral food", high tech gear , and way too heavy blue light, and call it "SPS dominant tank" ...but the truth is that they are living inside the matrix of Reef world ,as we know it today.
They simply didn't saw with their own eyes the OLD Reefs.
And my bat is that if they could see reef like that in our days , they probably will get shocked

yesterday i added another 2 kessil tuna blue..well , i very like the look

Very nice. Kind of reminds me of what tanks looked like under reeflux bulbs.

Always love seeing updates from your tank!

Do you still dose Red Sea trace colors? Outstanding aquarium!

Do you still dose Red Sea trace colors? Outstanding aquarium!

Thank you !
I switched from red sea trace elements to tropic marin pro coral mineral , 30 days ago.

it's crystal form of all terrace elements that found in Tripic marin pro salt.
I talked with Hans from tropic marin , and he helped me with advice of how to make stock solution for dosing pump , of this product.

I saw really good results since the switch in this short period of time , and since I didn't done any other change during this the last month , I can say in confidence that this product gave serious boost for my reef , especially for the SPS.
I saw that this product is in the market for long time, I wish I knew that before.

here is the product:

What are your nutrient levels these days? The colors are so pretty and bright.

Also, what bulb combo do you use in your T5 fixture? :)

What are your nutrient levels these days? The colors are so pretty and bright.

I'm trying to stable them always at range of 0.03 to 0.07 at PO4 , and 3 to 7 at NO3
I did today tests and results was 0.06 and 4.5 ppm

my belief is that the coloration is related not only to nutrients levels , but also to the present of specific trace elements , levels of dkh (by the way, its in the range of 7.0 to 7.5 )
and another factor is lighting.
I don't like the bluish look .in my personal experience, good amount of full spectrum and UV range, will be almost always great for the corals.
back to 2007 , when I saw the first home reef aquarium, it was lit by 2×400w MH and some T5 supplements bulbs , and it was amazing!!
rhe color of the corals looked like the grew in the wild.
it was very impressive
