My alk consumption is rising higher than ever

So my alk and Cal consumption has rised to adding 200 ml of each (2part)
A day

Question everything is in perfect order mag included at 1450
Should I just keep adding and adding more and more for the demand lol
Does anybody dose this much?
65 g reef 20 g sump

200ml of what solution? If you're using a weaker solution then you'll have to add more.

Most definitely. Is it going to get to like half a gallon of solution a day, because wow that be crazy sounding to me. It would basically force me into getting a calcium reactor lol

Ok guys lets try to tackle this together. What's your water volume?
how much alk are you dosing?
are you dosing manually?
how far apart are you dosing between cal and alk?
. for me I have about 75 total water volume, and I hand dose every night 200ml of cal then an hour later 200 ml of alk.
I think maybe my problem is the cal has a more potent mix and is out competing my alk causing me to chase alk? But idk

it may not matter, but I've always been told to dose the alk first. Unfortunately I don't know the detailed end of water chemistry. #reefsquad

What are your Alk and Cal numbers at usually?

For example, for moderate growth in my 180G SPS system that's a year old, I keep my Alk at around 8dkh. I add about 90mls or Calcium and Alkalinity per day using Randy's #1 recipe. If I were using Randy's #2, the amount would be double (180mls each) it's half the strength of his #1 recipe. That would be in line with the volume you're dosing and I have close to the same coral mass as you do. Completely normal.

If you're running a 65G tank and you're dosing a #1 recipe, then that's a crazy amount of dosing and I'd worry that you have some unwanted precipitation.

200mls on a 65 gallon tank is an addition over 4.0 dkh aday. Mostlikely dosing WAY too much then you need, driving precipitation. Try cutting that down to 1/3 your current dose, high flow area when adding alk. Also are you using lanthinum chloride? Large water changes weekly with a low dkh salt?

No lanthinum chloride. Water changes once a month with aquaforest reef salt, new batch at like 7.5 dkh I raise it before putting it in reef. I do have precipitation decently unwanted definitely! If I cut my dosage down to 1/3 I could have a huge Alk swing right? I don't need that.

Alot of precipitation. Cal 340, low, alk 7, mag 1450. Cal dosed at 8pm alk dosed at 9pm an hour apart
With my numbers being low they've been like that for 4 months with aggressive a happy color and growth on corals. But please advice needed?
