My alk consumption is rising higher than ever

Wow in 48 hours time (after a day of tweaking in the right dose). I only need 80 ml in a 24 hour period to stay at 9 dkh. I am shocked having cut down more than 50 % of my regular dosing. The solution to cut your manual 2 part dosing in half is to automatically dose a little through out the day. I am very pleased, if your afraid of using dosers, just manually dose your dosers each day. Unless you go on vacation lol. But I have 100 ml n each container to avoid air bubbles in air line, then I'm just gonna dose my 80 each day.

Shocking results it cut 2 part in half wow!!!

Go to a calcium reactor and you will not need to do any dosing plus it is more stable throughout 24 hours.

Not on my 65, maybe on a bigger tank later, but I just downgraded less than a year ago, I wouldn't want to get any bigger lol. To much responsibility on a big tank for me

I'm a bit surprised the effect is that big (maybe your manual dosing was problematic for some reason), but both coral growth and abiotic precipitation are higher at higher alkalinity, so if you keep it steady and lower, the demand is less and growth may be less. If you keep it steady and high, the demand will be higher and growth may be higher. :)

I was surprised too. The first 24 my alk shoot up to 12 dkh, and I was dosing 150 ml. I'm surprised too. But I cleaned my sump today and there was precipitation everywhere, that I never noticed really ( cause I don't clean my sump. My sump is really low flow, my display is high flow so it was going down and precipitatin out lol my skimmer and gfo reactor was solid white almost so
