Hey everyone. I thought I'd share some pictures of my tank since I'm taking it down 2 weeks from today. In all my years in this hobby I've never gotten these results with color, growth, or water chemistry.

But even with all this I still have algae issues [emoji53]

I've been dosing Tech M and that seemed to help a little but it's still there! I've been looking in to an ATS. Maybe I'll pull the trigger on one.

Everything looks great! But why are you taking it down in 2 weeks? Upgrading tanks?

Thanks! My lease is up next month and I'm not renewing. Moving 40 miles away closer to work and in to a bigger place. That means an upgrade is in order after I settle in.

Not as if yet. I was thinking about converting it in to a frag tank but that might not happen. I'll be in Riverside Ca

Good luck. I recently went through a similar move and set up a temporary tank at my parents that transitioned perfect for when I got a new one.

Ok. So I figured out where all the algae is coming from. All my parameters where in order 0 No3 and .02 Po4 so it was a little tricky. The cause was an overdose of amino acids. I was dosing KZ and elos at the same time, which caused an overdose that resulted in algae. I went out and got some critters to eat the algae.

Picked up about 20 Trochus snails and 10 asteras

Also picked up a rabbit fish to help the Trochus and to handle the bubble algae that I found in the tank
