From a science perspective I dont understand. Is it that whatever is in focus will interfere with copper (in the water column?) if it Is something else - it doesnt make sense.

No, the question was can you use GC with copper. You can, but it's not recommend to dose the medication into the water during copper. Oxygen depletion and possibility for bacterial blooms are the reasons. As well as combining meds is always going to be harder on the fish.
Feeding food soaked with GC during copper that is bound with focus is a non issue.

Actually - I read and reread all of the posts - everyone is asking for clarification of different things lol.. In any case - my point was that Focus has nothing to do with the discussion - and it has nothing to do with praziquantel (GC) or copper - its a totally different antibiotic. And the things that Focus would treat dont seem to be the things that GC or copper would treat. Or am I mistaken?

Lol this is off topic but I think you are holding a world record for the ratio of approved posts lol. You have 76,622 like per post. Seen some high ones but never half a billion. 7542 posts and lol 577, 889,923. Do they make a banner for most approved

Correct, I have never used it for anything other than binding either GC metronidazole to food.Focus is a binder, it will bind the other medications with the food.

As for starting to raise copper right away from 1.0 or should I run the 14 days of medicated food first at 1.0 copper ?

Focus is a binder, it will bind the other medications with the food.
I know - but it also contains nitrofurantoin: (from the seachem website): Active ingredients: Active ingredient: polymer bound nitrofurantoin (0.1%)

Bound with Focus, ie he is using it as a binder. Perhaps his sentence structure could have been better. But you do not bind copper into food, so..

Does it have to be exactly 14days ? should it matter if it's 15-16 days ?
I have 2QT's and have a 3rd tank that I haven't used.
going to move fish from 1 of the Qt to the sterile tank on day 14.
Sterilize the QT from which I moved the fishes , then move the fishes from the 2nd QT to the now sterile tank (day 16th).

I believe that's what is recommended - also don't think it can hurt to do an extra day or two

I know - and I think I also made a mistake by saying focus instead of 'GC' in one of my posts. Part of the problem with all of these 'trade name' medications - is that it seems to constantly cause confusion - because the active ingredients are not being mentioned. I.e. the issue isnt really using specific to using General Cure with Copper - its using Praziquantel with copper (as @HotRocks said) - and General cure contains Metronidazole and Praziquantel - so - my question related to - is it praziquantel + copper = bad, or Metronidazole + copper= bad, or ONLY Metronidazole + Praziquantel + copper = bad. OR - was there some issue as well with Focus - which contains yet another antibiotic (nitrofurantoin). I dont want to reignite the discussion - only clarify what was unclear to me

It should be a minimum of 7 full days with 10 to 14 days being preferred. Longer is not a problem, it just isn't necessary from a parasite treatment perspective.

It actually is even more complicated than that.
Copper + metro = no issue
Copper + GC (which contains both metronidazole and powder praziquantel) = slight risk of bacterial bloom
Copper + Prazipro (Liquid Praziquantel) = high risk for bacterial bloom.
The concentration of prazi in GC is slightly lower than Prazipro. So for whatever reason the liquid version poses a much higher risk for issues in QT when mixed with copper. Used solely there is no issue and I prefer prazipro over GC.
