My First Anemone. Having Issues

He looks ok. When they are unhappy they retract there tenticles. See how he has sand stuck to his foot. That is a good thing. He just wants a home. Dig a little hole in the sand. Plant him in the hole and leave him be just be gentle with the foot

They are pretty sensitive creatures. Since issues happened right away I'm guessing your parameters are different then what it maybe used to. What kind of corals are in the tank with it?

It took me a couple of attempts to get him to stay out. Each time he got loose there was sand stuck to his foot

according the my LFS ( which is a local shop with very good people) my parameter were right were they needed to be.. I am going to run my numbers later on tonight and I will let you know where they are at.

So I tried to bury him in the sand and he some how just tips over... and goes on his side no trying to move...

Just let him be. make sure your flow isnt to strong. the more you touch, the more tense they will be. more uneeded stress. if he cant attach/bury himself on his own, it will give you a sense of the health of the animal.
Learn when to intervene/assist, otherwise let it find its home.... And good luck! We're all here to help

^^what all those folks said back there. Nem looks healthy - needs a home. On your latest update it looks like he secured his foot on the side of a rock or maybe a just low flow spot. I'd let him chill riiiiight there 'n rest. If your powerheads are off till he finds a home be mindful when you kick 'em back on as to not blast 'im with direct flow on accident. Hope he gets anchored soon, in a sweet spot, and flourishes! Good luck!

he's gone....

For an M. doreensis (( LTA )), it has been my experience that any damage to the foot is a death sentence -- even the size of a pin head.
When purchasing one, (( if possible )) check the foot very carefully for any damage -- avoid the damaged ones. Over the years I have attempted to save over 10 damaged one -- zero success.

Here are my levels
pH 8.4
Ammonia 0
Nitrile 0
Nitrate 0
KH 7.4
CA 440
Salinity 1.024
Temp 78

I checked each of these atleast 2 time and some of them 3 times to make make sure off accuracy and got the same results each time...

Awwwwwwww, sorry!!!:(
IMO ... I would let your tank mature a lil' before trying again.

Well the tank is new to my house (4-5 months) but sand and rocks came from the same tank and it had been running for years before... Rocks never dried out were always in water at temp and being circulated so I would think the tank is definitely more mature then the 4-5 months that I have had it...
