My first reef, 75G.

Any input?

That ato system will work. It is alot like the first one i built for myself. problem is it will eventually stick and flood your home unless you are anal retentive and remember to clean it regularly. If you can afford it I would suggest the tunze osmolator. it uses an optical switch instead of a mechanical one and the pump it comes with fits in the 5 gallon jugs everyone uses for water. Leighanne sells the osmolator at aquariums in edmond and recommended it to me. i bought one and never had any issues with it. i've been using it over a year now.

I'll definitely look into that! Here's the set up, ive redone all the old connections, and reapplied Teflon tape to the threads. I'm going home to measure the bulkheads so i know if i need any different sized hose to get connected to the tank. Im so nervous! Hope my sump works, hope nothing leaks

Ok, so I did get the sump all siliconed up etc, here are the results. This Mag 9.5 is a bit bigger than what I had designed the tank for, but it still fits, the pond filter is just on there for detritus and jests. I have the louver egg crate stuff as spacers to adjust the height of the skimmer, and the plumbing should all be there too. Looking to get it filled up on Saturday.

This is 3/4" ID hose, on a 3/4" NPT threaded outlet of the mag 9.5.. I just heated the hose up to get it to fit, seems tight, is this how everyone else does it?

Just checked, looks like I need a 1&1/4" hose from the bulkhead, so I'll get that and a 1&1/4" to 1" reducer. My problem now is that from the bulkhead to the top of my sump is only going to be like 10" haha, so i'll have a relatively short span to do this in with the ball valve and everything

The float system i linked also has 2 switches, just incase the bottom one does fail.

Chose to go led for the sump light, i don't like how hot regular and cfl bulbs get for prolonged use.

This is a 500 lumen par20 38° flood, suitable for damp conditions.
Mounted it up

Yeah! Did All of the baffles hold water correctly? I assume yes, but I like to ask
