My IM Fusion 20 mixed reef

Sorry I haven't responded recently, life is busy. I have the Tunze Osmolator nano in the middle compartment in the back, works really fantastic, it attaches with a strong magnet. No issues attaching at all. The back is black. There are 2 media baskets, I use the upgraded ones from InTank. I have one of the second chambers set up as a small refugium with live rock rubble and chaetomorpha algae. I use a $12 submersible pond light from Amazon to light it. My next mod is the Jebao dosing pump, I'll let you know when it's set up, I cleared out all of the soft corals and have added more SPS. I'm picking up two AI primes today too! Can't wait to get them on the tank.

Sorry but I'm still confused regarding your ATO. Does it use an "optical sensor"? If so where would you place it?

or does it not work via an optical sensor since you have it in your back chamber where an optical would not work since the glass in not clear (see thru).

did you just toss the rock and algae into the second chamber area and drop the light in? I have one AI Prime on my IM 20 and it seems to be plenty FYI. Also my Ghost skimmer will only produce bubbles not and skimm.

Yep, I placed the rock rubble in the second chamber, added a small amount of chaeto and set the 12 watt submersible pond light in. it sits just below the water line

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Try opening the valve on the skimmer wide open for a few days and it will be loud, but eventually will settle a bit, make sure the water level in the middle compartment stays consistently at an inch below the overflow from compartment two. That's worked for me, I'm still not real happy with the ghost skimmer. I've held off building a sump for now, we're moving in a few months and I will set up a much larger system in our new house.[/FONT]

Thanks, I love it. I have to dose two-part every day and 10% water changes weekly now but it's worth it. I've been given a hard time about "bonsai coral colonies" rather that just having a couple kinds and letting them grow larger..I'm a fan of the diversity and trying to give the effect of a much larger system in 20 gallons. Requires more maintenance, but worth it IMO. It's an ongoing experiment.
Regarding the ATO, the Tunze Osmolator Nano uses a float switch not a photo sensor, it's been working well for me and has a limited auto shut off so it won't overfill if the float valve gets stuck.

other question for you. I've received my tank. The back wall on the inside of the tank was covered with adhesive type paper to protect it. I peeled it off but it left some sticky substance. Did this happen to you ? How did you remove the residue?

I purchased the ATO system with a sensor. Once the tank is filled and running how far up in the middle chamber is the water level before it starts to evaporate. Would like to know this before I place the sensor in the chamber. not a lot of room for it because of the hardware and pump.

Tanks looks fantastic. How are you liking the AI Primes? Which Tunze Osmolator are you using, the 3152?

Thank you. Yep I'm using the 3152, it's working really well for me. Simple and reliable. I actually haven't put the Primes on yet- I have them, I just hesitated using them until after we were settled and moved, lots going on. I'll try them out this week. I'm still impressed with the stock IM lights I've had good growth, but I think I'll get even better colors with the Primes.

Oh yeah, LRS 'Reef Frenzy' food is the best food I have ever come across. Great results in my tank. I feed a small bit daily.

Is it possible to light the fuge from back of the tank, or is the drop in light the only wat to go? I ask because in my BioCube days, some 5 years ago, the light always seemed to leak.
