First LFS didn't have the quick start. I did however get the IM random flow spinning returns for the tank. Well, I mean I got one. Who knew that for $23 you were only getting 1 spinning return? I feel completely ripped off by Innovative Marine now. How stupid is the tank going to look with just 1 spinning return?

If I have no algae growing in the tank, and there isn't any in the sump, how is the nitrate leaving the tank?

It won't be this quickly unless you're doing water changes, or the test incorrectly (or the kit sucks). And as for livestock, stick with a single fire fish as two will most assuredly fight in that small of a tank.

I see this is a strict budget, but have you thought about the livestock goals? Just watch with the firefish, I lost two in my fusion 20 from them jumping when the lid was off and not being seen. The only time I had the lid removed was when doing water changes, or hands in the tank for whatever reason. They are super quick and as noted, I only saw the second one after it jumped and landed about five feet away from the tank when my cat started going nuts at something on the floor.

I got the skunk shrimp about 2 weeks ago. He's doing just fine.

I got the 2 firefish last night. They r doing their scaredy cat hide in the rocks bit.
