My local petco now sells frags!

I go into my local deathco sometimes for my dog.
I always go by the tanks to see what fish are on death row that week.
One time there was 2 heavily salted purple tangs at $200 ea.

Other time there was a healthy looking sohal for $250 And a vlamingi tang
Went back 2 days later and they were both gone.
I seriously doubt they had sold them.

They always have crap frags and tons of dying anenomes.
Its definitely sad to see them care so little about them.

yeah i just was at mine petco witch i never buy ant live stock from, and they had a few zoa frags. The guy working said they came from ora $36 for like 15 heads. just as i was going to leave the guy said he'd knock off 20% so i grabbed a disc. I don't have a qt tank so i just dipped the hell out of it.. when i put it under my light( AI PRIME HD26) Man they are hot looking.... ill post some pics when the lights come on.

My Petco has been selling frags for a while but I just don't go there anymore they kept on changing people around plus their tanks went from ****** to nice ( a whole new tanks and setup) to being crappy full of algae

at least they put as much effort into their coral as they do their fish...

I bought a nem Today because it looked like it was dying. 20 bucks and I believe I saved it’s life. As soon as it got in the tank it opened up. I gave him a few minutes to relax and put some food close to the tenticals and it reached straight for it, so I fed it. I wonder if they even feed these poor guys? Also got 4 zoa frags for 15 each all 10 to 25 heads, some green some red. Be exciting to see them when they open up and aren’t abused.

We bought a coral beauty angel their 2 weeks ago, was told it just arrived from live aquaria and was in excellent condition. Its been very happy in our new tank

I feel like it’s a screwed up situation either way. If you don’t buy they continue to suffer. If you do, they will just be replaced and more will suffer That being said I bought an eraser sized rock nem once because it was getting stung by a bubble tip. So I feel your pain. Luckily I got that one for free so I wasn’t out anything but still.

I stoped reading all the petco bashing

My local petco fish lady really is trying to learn all she can about salt water just to keep her tanks going. She is growing to love the salty side. She does her best! I bought my three fish from there. She is kinder than my local LFS stores that specializes in salt. I really feel unwelcomed at my LFS stores. Because I don’t know enough and I’m trying to learn so i bring my water in frequently and i ask lots of questions. But they really make me feel like I’m bothering them.

Mine where brown when received the next day they are turning neon orange. I fragged the colonies and have 2)25 heads and 8 smaller ones from 2 -15 Heads Plus she gave me half off on 2 of the 3 colonies I bought!

I stop in at my Petco every once in awhile. I have seen a neon green torch for sale before but it was attached to a large rock so I didn't get it. I do have another torch from them in my tank, it's a light pink color under my lights. I got it for $39. They also have real live rock for sale, which is hard to find anywhere these days. I have seen some very pretty varieties of clownfish for sale, though I didn't take any photos of them. Many times their fish are sick. Here are the photos I have taken from my local Petco.
