Dont you think we can find a topic to better spend out time on that one thats been discussed a thousand times over.

Yes its expensive.

Yes it will eventually come down in price

Yes we would all love it

No, most of us would never pay that

Yes, more people will pay that before it comes down

lets move on people, these same old threads are getting really old, and all they do is start drama.

+1 couldn't agree more.

but people like drama...:tongue::bigsmile:

We all owe JF a huge debt of thanks. Without guys like him, what would we have to gab about and have long and non-productive threads about?

beauty must be in the eye of the beholder or wallet. I saw this chalice in person and personally color wise, the Bubblegum Monster put the My Miami to shame. Actually the original Tyree Watermelon was brighter pink not a dull grey pink like the My Miami. Its def nice but not worthy of all the hype.

Its hard to spend a lot on something with a melting reputation.I lost them twice and I would rather have larger Paly anyway then the tiny zoos.
It's the same thing that happens to EVERY piece of LE/High end coral. The value drops considerably within a year as the coral becomes more readily available. Purple Hornets are selling for less than half of what they went for originally.

the whole body is pink/grey

You are thinking about the wrong coral. Green rim, blue body, orange eyes with pink rims around the eyes.

Yea im glad i decided to get a 50" plasma instead of my miami lol by the time i get a couple eyes to sell it will be ~ $400 an eye. So buy the time it pays for it self it will be worth $200 eye. The internet is both good and bad bad for people like jason, its all good for us because we can network and connect. There was probably atleast 7 sources of MM a month ago now there are probably 20 the more people that own it the more try to sell it for less... sorry for the basic economics 101 lecture its just the nature of the beast... Albeit It is bad timing but it is also going to go down rather exponentially.

Maybe it was the powerbrights at the store i saw it at.

They must have messed that coral up to make the whole body grey/pink. No way it should look like that. It's a deep blue coral with intensely orange eyes and a green rim. Granted, a blue watermelon chalice isn't that original, but it's the orange eyes that make it. Those eyes are as bright orange as anything and really pop. Haven't seen any other chalice with that. Personally, though, I like the Tangerine Dreams better, based on the colony pics from Jason/Chris.

Wait a minute.....I paid $200 :crossedlips:

It's the same story though guys...JF did nothing wrong. This is a free market, and if someone out there is willing to pay a specific price, THEY WILL. You can argue and cry and be mad all you want, it won't change a dang thing.

Hey someone offered me $3000 for my Rainbow Plate.....are they crazy? I guess I must be crazy for NOT taking the money and keeping it for myself.

Oh, you're a funny one now. :xd:

You know, if I had a plate like yours, I don't think I'd sell it either. On the other hand, I'd definitely sell yours. :ooh:

It's funny, I bought a Sharp Aquos 32 inch LCD HDTV several years ago for about 2400. Was so happy to have it, and that was a decent price at the time. Now I could get 3 50+ inchers for that price. Wish I could frag my tv. Guess I'll cut Mi Miami soon to fund a new real tv.

It's all relative....I paid $4800 6 years ago for my 43" Pioneer Plasma. Now plasma's are worthless, and I have burn in on both sides of the screen because of stations not all broadcasting widescreen until about 2-3 years ago. Heck I had the TV mounted above my fireplace 2 months before even having furniture in the house. Eitherway that plasma looked amazing even sitting on folding chairs for a couple months hahaaaa

where is the price crash of the my miami though? its the holiday season so everything right now is probably lower in price? it probably will go steady out again around 1200 in a month wont it?
