My new 110

This is a new to me, 110. It was set up when I bought it, I bought the complete set up. I moved the stock from my 29g over to this one also. It has 2 250w metal halides. I want to add some T5's and change the bulbs in the MH.

Yea, I think I'm going to like it, especially with it having the dual overflows and sump. It makes for a clean look. The MH are so hot, I'm thinking about a Going to LED's.

Just some soft stuff for the most part. I'm just think long term I would be better off with led's vs T5's just for the fact I would have to replace em every year. What do y'all think? Who has swapped over to led's and what kind of issues are you having.

I love halides. Excellent growth. T5 has outstanding color. Its all what you like though.

LED's are a good choice for heat reduction and good color. If you are planning on just keeping softies and lps, I think it would be a good choice. Now all you have to do is figure which brand or DIY.

I have a 110 as well, also with MH and T5s, I have two clip on fans from Wal-Mart that are controlled through my Reef Keeper. I have one over the tank and one over the return section of my sump.

My good has some 80mm fans on it. They are just loud and one is out. I found some for 6.00 I think I'll just replace both. How do you like the MH with T5's and what kind of froth do you get? What T5's and MH bulbs do you have now? Thanks in advance

I have what appears to be 10k MH (sold as 14k but they're white) and two Geismann Actinic+ I am probably going to be adding some blue LED's to blue it up some as it's too white for my tastes. I am having some pretty good growth.

Forget t5 and mh bulbs the way to go is LED I have had my LEDs on my tank for 10 months and will never go back I have 120 LEDs I think its 75 blue and 45 white on a 180
