rescued this Guy from PETCO today. now hopefully my coral beauty and yellow tang will stop chasing it.

Im glad you rescued it!! I saw him earlier this morning but he looked in bad shape. Plus Petco sux at SW fish!! He was just too expensive for me to rescue. Hope he does good in your tank.

it is in my refugium for the night. i have got to catch my coral beauty and it is going to a different section. then i will rearrange the rock

Did you look at his tail?? Looked like white spots when I saw him but then again I couldnt see much since PETCO's return pump was pumping mostly air!! Tards!!

I don't even bother visiting petco anymore, it makes me mad. GL with this guy.

it did but i gave it a freshwater dip then put it in a 1 gallon Berta tank that i you for treatment. i keep a bottle of itck attack and medicine for just such a thing. it stayed in there for about 20 minutes.

well it is the only place close to me to get saltwater fish and i hate going there. but hey if no one went there there would not be no one to rescue the fish.

what made me mad is that they had a Christmas tree rock there. and the coral was about dead already and it was full of worms which now don't have a chance.

i know some people that read this will get mad because I'm trying to put two Angelfish together but it was a rescue not a rookie mistake and it has a lot better chance against my coral beauty then in one at this PETCO. they come to me for advice when I'm in there. so this is a act of kindness.

quick update this Guy is already eating formula one pellets. hopefully got rid of the white spots.

good news it is still alive. bad new is the white spots are back. i will give it another dip this morning.

so went and got the sixline that was in the tank today and also got a orchid dottyback. oh they had a ich outbreak in there system. lol

Figures!! Petco has no one experienced enough for them to be selling SW fish. They tried to tell me the spines of a yellow tang were poisonous!!! I tried to tell to guy it was the foxface that was poisonous but he "knew it all." i am scared to buy anything from them.

i am able to bring the fish and corals back to help normally but i had to use my hospital for my daughters freshwater fish when her other tank start leaking for old age so i will have a battle of white spot in my reef tank soon but the good thing the coral beauty has stopped chasing the flame all over the place. i have all my lights out for now so time will tell. the have two starfish that are just falling apart.

Update on my angel rescue from petco. All my fish made it through the ich outbreak and the flame and coral beauty angel are best friends now so that's a plus. Upside to this is I now keep a QT running at all times just in case. Lol

Good to hear that everyone pulled through and are getting along. I still haven't decided with my qt tank if I will keep it up and running once I have added all my fish, that will probably be a process that is going to take months to do at the rate I am going. I am leaning towards letting the tank continue to run and use old water from my display tank to do wc on the qt tank. This way I don't have to worry about cycling the tank when it is needed.
