Yeah... i have no clue... i used a level and the table is level... its weird... all 4 corners on the tanks touch the table, but the tanks bow in the middle and arent touching the table... really sucks... because I think im gonna have to didisconnect the plumbing and take the tanks off again and recheck everything

Sometimes those types of tables twist when putting them together. I would put foam under the tanks regardless if they are flat bottom (which I’m assuming the acrylic one) to account for any slight twist in the table

Im pretty sure thats what is happening to the tables, but I thought the weight of the filled tanks would distribute the tables in a flat manner... wasnt the case...the foam is going to be fine... the glass tank has the plastic top and bottom... im pretty sure the foam bottoms will make it safer... the floor is flat... just used a 3’ level and everything is fine... sucks though... im gonna have to disconnect all plumbing to put foam under the tanks... what a pain

Finally finished up the plumbing lastnight... I can honestly say plumbing sucks... not my thing... leak teated everything and also simulated power outage over 10 times... both sumps have 20+ gallons of water left in them when power goes out... only thing that worries me is if check valves fail it will be close to the too and also the 4’ tank has no emergency drain... tell me what you think!

I would plan on the check valve failing those things are good for turning a pump off and not draining the tank for feeding and such but I would never rely on one to keep my sump from flooding.

Wonderful... so it will be close to the top then... if anything maybe 10 gallons on the floor... which isnt too bad... hahahahah... ill take that...

I also put foam under the sumps and tanks... feels more rigid and the tanks are level now... glad I did that...

This, I would test it that way, and if it overflows make provisions to handle it. Possibly a hole in the sump with an upturned 90 just a fuzz below the rim that is plumbed to a drain or a small reservoir that can handle the overage. Then at power up you just need a way to handle the lack of water (I have been kicking around a pump and float switch in a similarly needed vessel. That way I could disable my ATO until I emptied that container. Hope that makes some kind of sense lol

So ai finally got the tanks up and running finally... 200 lbs of liverock is in the trough and I filled half the system with Scripps water and the other half with reef crystals... was gonna make another run to La Jolla, but it rained and thats a no no... so I mixed my own to finish the water left I needed... Its ran for 24 hours with no issues so far... Only problem is the humidity in the room is outrageous... probably close to 60-70%. Everything is moist to the touch... I opened up the window when I got home and pit a box fan in the window to suck out the nasty air... Is this normal? I really never heqr anyone conplain about the humidity in their fish rooms... Should I look into a dehumidifier? If so, what size and brand?

My system is in a drafty basement so no humidity issues here, but I think you could use a bathroom type fan or a dehumidifier likely. The problem with the dehumidifier is the heat it puts out.

So I disconnected the chiller from my xl425... It never came on anyway in the summer once I hooked up a fan to my apex... Pretty much kicked on once the max temp was hit... So Im gonna hook this up to the frag system for more reliable temp stability... any ideas of a safe way to hook it up to my manifold?

Made a rack for the 4’ tank... at an angle... thanks saltyreefer for the idea... I have a gyre xf150 underneath rack to blow detritus and what not
