Long time no update.
Last nite did some parameter check find everything is ok
but NO3 still zero.
NO3 has being zero since 8th Aug. More then a month. I had being
dosing KNO3 why NO3 still zero?

What test do you use? I use the Red Sea Nitrate kit and find it pretty accurate. Consistent at least. I recently started dosing KNO3 as well. Just a small amount (< 1ppm). The test still says 0 which I take to mean it is quickly being used up or processed by the rock. Even if that is all as I see it, I keep dosing just to have some in there, if only for a short time.

I using Salifert test kit . I dosing 3 ml kno3 weekly.(every 7 days)
Thinking of increasing the frequency to twice or 3 times per week

Right. If it gets used up quickly it is probably a good idea to space it out.

After 2 weeks of dosing PO4

PO4 is now 200 ppb or 0.6 ppm. (This tank has no skimmer and PO4 is control by PO4 minus in bag
Need to increase phos minus change frequency from 14 days to 7 days and monitor till PO4 level drop to 0.1 ppm
or reduce the PO4 dosage from daily to twice or once a week

You probably know this, but if the Hanna ULR Checker is reading 200 ppb, that is the upper limit of that colorimeter. PO4 could actually be much higher than that.

You are right . I think is higher.
I reduce half dosage PO4 and increase phos minus change frequency and see how

But the sps still has the nice color . Not much changes except now a lot of brown algae.
Short hair type. Not sure what algae is that

First casualty .
Sad day , 6th Oct 2018.
The yellow tenius and wd stn on Saturday nite.
No sure what is the cause.
All parameter within range except PO4 was high at 200 ppb or 0.6 ppm.

PO4 has drop to 0.3 after I stop dosing PO4 and
change phos minus more frequently
but NO3 is still zero.
I think need to increase KNO3 dosage

Nov 2018 this is 6 months no water change.
NO3 stay at zero don't know what happen

Both PO4 and NO3 is very high as measured last nite

PO4 is 0.6 and NO3 is 40.

Really hard to control PO4 and NO3 without skimmer and no water change
