After I share, you share, we all share, sharing is fun!

I’m excited because I’ve got some new water mixing up and I plan on a water change and a sand spruce up!! My tank is doing so great so I plan on the following.
  • Water change
  • Pick up old shells
  • Rearrange odd ball corals
  • Clean sand
  • Add a new layer of fresh sand
Sounds like fun huh!? Ha! When you’re excited you know it’s pretty accomplishing!

What about you, any plans?

Two weeks ago added 30lbs and a leopard wrasse. I waiting for a replacement wrasse since it died due to capture at a lfs.

Last week added a bta and a lightning maroon clown

This week will be cleaning canister filter and water change

Oh cool!! Some new sand too?

Been slowly removing my old sand over the past month and replacing it with Caribsea dry aragonite special grade. Love aragonite based sand. I see you do too! Like minds.......

voted maybe for me.

Lol must be that time of year lol. I’ve been siphoning mine out as well and im on the fence of adding new sand or trying the bare bottom craze. I’m about half siphoned, don’t want to remove it too fast

So far I caught and sumped my coral beauty. No coral issues, just becoming a bit of a bully. Also relocated a rock flower nem from the sand bed to the rock work.

Going to begin slowly transitioning my system and giving SPS another shot. I've got some BRS Reef Saver rock that's been in a trashcan of saltwater for the last week. Today I'm starting to slowly move a piece at a time into the 45g that's plumbed into my DT to start seeding it. Over the next month or so will eventually switch them out for some of the current rocks that have zoa's / palys and probably eventually sell old stuff.

I'm a little late to the party. Last weekend I did a 20% water change, switched 2 black boxes for 2 kessil 360we and added 9 new corals to my 90 gallon.

I've almost got all of my honey dos done for the week. Tomorrow belongs to me and my tanks. Water changes on 6 tanks (4 FW and 2 reefs). I'm also swapping out the return pump on the 125 to give the old one a good cleaning. I'd like to be able to see what color it was originally. Might as well give the sump a bit of a polish while I'm at it.

Doing my self imposed honey do list, getting house ready so I can go to Macna in 2 weeks. I will probably do another big water change tomorrow, trying to get nitrates down after second use of reef flux.

Last was was more exciting:
Besides routine water change and maintenance, I got my copperband and black storm clown through QT and added to display as well as adding some corals (ATL Bananas Lokani, Sniper Bubblegum millie, Oregon Tort and WWC Hyperberry)
This week:
Reefapalooza on Sunday, so maybe a few new corals if I find something special, redo my screen tops, make a couple gallons of two part, and do a water change if I can get to Scripps and pick up a load of water.

Trochus Snail for my QT/TOT (Time Out Tank-for anyone not playing nice!) for algae control!

Lowering my 2 XR15s that are at 15” AWL down to 9” and adding a 3rd!
Question; I put some banana boat spf 30 in an extra kalk reactor like google said to do but the corals aren’t absorbing it like it said it would??? What the World am I doing wrong??? Hahaha
