My special reefing plans for next week!

Just got my water changes done on all my tanks. That was the first thing to do this week. I’m expecting a box to arrive tomorrow. It’s going to have a flow sensor and aquarium fan in it. Gotta install those. The Flow sensor will be on my UV sterilizer.

Keep feeding the fish in my QT is the only other excitement.

Water change done today. Set up a compartment in my sump for RODI water and auto top up. Now don’t need a barrel at side of tank to do it.
Tomorrow water tests.

I'm slowly replacing fish I lost from a ick outbreak a few months back.
Getting a small hippo tang and a black cap basslet tomorrow.
I wish they would have had smalls, I would have gotten 2 of the black caps.

Got the Mindstream in my tank, so now I'm working on getting my parameters back in line and getting some coral growing again!

Thursday- service sump components (skimmer, socks, algae scrubber and foam inserts.)
Mexican Fiesta Friday ( and perfect weather) and meeting someone for one dozen nice coral pieces to bring home
Saturday - Slight water change in morning and cut grass and then Wisconsin Reef Society annual picnic with great people and great weather again

Lowering my 2 XR15s that are at 15” AWL down to 9” and adding a 3rd!
Question; I put some banana boat spf 30 in an extra kalk reactor like google said to do but the corals aren’t absorbing it like it said it would??? What the World am I doing wrong??? Hahaha

Done, took longer than expected and have to order another bracket to extend the right light over a few inches. All in all, the spread and coverage appears to be much better than the two alone provide. OMG I’m ready for the acclimation period to be over already!

i did wc on my 2 smaller tanks and rearranged some frags.. i got a starry blenny for my pod... and found some new hitchhiker coral im my 20.. (think its a tiny lil nem.. red center and clear tentacles.. too small for pics yet..). so this wk ill be glue'n some frags and gear up for change in main tank mid wk. thinkn its time i set up a frag tank to keep things clear in my displays...... i should went bigger (thats the first time you've all heard that im sure..)

Well my first day of college is saturday, so friday I have a big ol waterchange planned. I'm gonna replace some cheap wavemakers with a new gyre and install an autofeeder. Then I gotta make instructions for the family on how to care for the tank.

What’s you plan of attack for the cyano?

I just got from vacation and my tanks a mess. I used chemiclean about 4 months ago and would like to avoid dosing more antibiotics, o looking for an alternative strategy.

Truly, ChemiClean is the cure.
Natural would be a reduction in light intensity (low blue/no white)… siphon it up and loosen it with turkey baster prior to siphoning and add Phos remover

Two weeks ago added 30lbs and a leopard wrasse. I waiting for a replacement wrasse since it died due to capture at a lfs.

Last week added a bta and a lightning maroon clown

This week will be cleaning canister filter and water change

I played a video of a maroon hosting a bta. Second time playing the video the clown touched the nem. Than Bam straight into the nem. Amazing.
