I have been watching my other sps since going fallow and starting to dose potassium nitrate and they have been coloring up and growing. I was watching a vendor sale on here and couldn't help myself. So I wanted to share my latest additions. All were acclimated and dipped in coral rx before being introduced to the tank. I know it is a lot for a single round but since my tank is fallow and I have the other corals under control I thought it would be a good time to finish stocking my tank to help prevent introduction of fish parasites for better fish health in the future.

CoralRX bath for 10 minutes

Placed at the bottom of the tank to acclimate to the lights. I will keep there here for a couple of weeks.

Coral RX brought these 2 worms out of hiding from the new additions.

Nice score!!

Would you recommend mounting them to the rocks and then slowly acclimating them to the light by decreasing photoperiod? Raising my light is not an option.

That's a lot of SPS! Very nice! Good luck with them!

I would remove them from the old plugs and then glue them to new plugs after dipping them.

I will have to pick up some frag plugs from the LFS tomorrow since I don't have any. Think it would be bad to glue the frags to new plugs? I have always heard that you're suppose to let the frags hang out in your sump for a few weeks before mounting things to them.

A few won't hurt. I think if you have uncured frag plugs and you use a lot of them they could leech... Depends on what type of plugs you have. I've personally fragged over 1oo new corals at one time and put them all on new plugs in my tank and haven't had any problems. You should be fine.. (just my opinion though)

I like to clip new frags off of plugs and glue them to small, flat pieces of live rock. Then I glue those to my rock work. If the corals don't respond well to that location, you can move it by removing the small rock with the coral attached. It also looks much more natural than gluing plugs to your rocks.

I never put my frags on the sand bed. I think Ive only bleached one coral out of probably 100 or so. I run LEDs that are turned up pretty high.

I do have a bunch of dry rubble rock that I have been meaning to cure. I am torn over what the rock would release as it cures with new stressed sps sitting right on top of it

I would take those frags out asap. Those old plugs probably have eggs hatching in your system right now.

I actually just spent the last hour and 5 tubes of super glue gel removing all frag plugs and gluing the drags to my rock. I wouldn't have been able to sleep knowing those devil eggs could be hatching.

Yeah get those things off the old plugs. I just learned the hard way after introducing 16 new acropora frags why the old plugs are risky. Flatworm eggs survived Coral Rx.

Good call. Better to proceed with an over abundance of caution.

I would be freaking out right now if I were you. Good thing these are your only frags. Honestly not just saying this, but if it was me, I would take them all off and put them in a QT. The last thing you want is to never have your reef turn out and always wonder. Then find the infestation a year down the line. Coral rx is known to not work as good as bayer. And even bayer sometimes they can sneak by if you don't leave them in long enough. I'd say the chances are good that something probably slipped by with that many frags, and or eggs. Sorry you have to deal with this ! You should out the vendor shouldn't be a secret. Afew is the worst and can ruin 1000's$.

@lyscer

Please contact the vendor and let them know ASAP. I see they are still doing auctions and massive item listings. Who knows how many people will be getting AEFW.
