That's a cool looking tank! I think the only thing that will be a pain will be scraping the glass once algea starts to grow. I had a bow tank once before and I will never have another because the magnets don't work all that great on the round surface and that's a pretty tall tank to get your arm in there with a scraper to get the bends. Thanks! I appreciate it. I will add some dry rock later this week. My aquarium store owner said he would sell it to me at $2 a pound. I need another 70-80 pounds depending on density. I plan to keep the pics and updates coming!

Thanks for the heads up. I have been using one with a razor attached to it and am still trying to get used to it as to not scratch the glass. I will start searching online now. I am sure someone has been able to come up with something for these cylinder tanks.

So after a week and a half with 70 lbs of cured coraline covered live rock, chromies, and hermits plus TLC and Purple Up... We have added 40 more pounds of dry rock. We also just returned from our LFS with four clowns and five crabs... Our LFS told us we can begin adding zoras and mushrooms in about six weeks.

Well it has been four months. I have learned a lot and some of it the hard way and at the cost of a few fish and a couple corals. Here are some updated photos.

Below is an open brain coral I killed. This was my lesson in acclimation.

I am still loving my tank and would to have a go at more coral soon... Any recommendations for four month old novices? Thanks!

For the open brain coral, I did not perform a true drip acclimaion. I have a small line, but I now know I should make a knot in it to caused the water flow to be actually drip and not flow. I also understand, from my LFS, that I should have turned my haloid lights off after adding it and should have reduced the time they were scheduled to be on before slowly increasing the time back up again. And that I should not have placed it directly under the light.
Basically, my LFS said that I burned it...

I was also not water testing consistently and only in the past month or so began performing water changes...
This morning, I noticed my nitrates were high. I performed a 30gal water change. I am also thinking about adding another mangrove plant or two.
Fortunately, all the other levels were good...
