Hi all,
I posted on GHL Facebook group and my post was deleted. Hmmm. not before at least 1 person shared they had the same experience.
Most recently, with hurricane Dorian bearing down on the poor souls in the Bahamas and Florida, SC/NC, GHL was very thoughtful in posting support for those who were in the path.
Days later, they updated the app.
Now - in my experience, with every app update, the MyGHL access between the Profilux 4 and the web breaks.
To fix this, as far as I know (this could b a learning experience here) you MUST connect a PC via USB and update the profilux firmware, which goes well most of the time) Alerts still go out, so wifi works, and you can manage via the local network if you have the webserver on. but that leaves you dead in the water if you are remote to your network. (Fancy IT people setting up vpns and static IPs and connecting remotely excluded)
So - anyone who had set their tank to go, and was away monitoring it from elsewhere would have lost access (Or at least I did).
Has this happened to anyone else? seems to me it happens every time, and when I ask about it I'm Squelched.
