Actually yes. I think there should be warnings included with tanks to inform people that fish may be able to get into the over flow and or jump out of the tank. The average person is not aware of these things. I just read an article that stated that for every one fish that makes it into a home aquarium 6 died. We should all be trying to move the hobby to become more humane for the animals we claim to care about. I just don't understand how a suggestion to try and make a product safer for marine life is causing so much outrage....

No outrage[emoji4]

No arguing [emoji4]

Just my opinion on the topic.

And if you believe that every aspect needs to be improved, then this shouldnt be an eco tech topic, it should be a general topic that covers all the dangers our fish face.

One step at a time. Multiple people have now purchased pump guards because of this thread specific to death via power head. I received a pm today as well for specifics on where to buy them.

Only one way to 100% eliminate fish deaths,
Don’t keep an aquarium!

Agreed, we can do all we know to prevent fish deaths, however, it’s going to happen one way or another.
