This product makes miracles both for my reef tank and for me.

What exactly can be handmade about vodka anyway? lol

They have a handful of potatoes that they hold while they ferment?

They hold it in their hands while it is being heated to boiling to distill the ethanol?

They collect the distillate in their hands before putting it into a bottle?

Or most likely, they flip one or more switches by hand. lol

Chemi Clean - for cyanobacteria, kind of daunting using it as a newbie in my experience. Your tank turns yellow and cloudy and you contemplate if you made the right decision. Then you wake up to a cyanobacteria free tank and it feels good

Phosphate RX and GFO - both quick to the point phosphate removers. I like Phosphate rx a bit more than GFO but it can harm sensitive fish as what I've read.

Pickling lime aka kalkwasser! - yes that thing you find in grocery stores. A great way of increasing your KH and PH and very wallet friendly

Jebao pumps. I've got 4 different wave makers and a return pump and they just work. The return pump has been running continuously for 4.5 years and I've cleaned it maybe twice with a quick toothbrushing. The wavemaker s are between 4.5 and 1 years old and I've never had to do anything more than regular cleaning. They all run silent, they move a ton of water, they don't cost an arm and a leg, and I've never had one die.

Lemon juice and a needle syringe for taking care of aptasia. No need to spend money on commercial products when lemon juice is just as effective.

I’d be much less charitable about Chemi clean, due to their clear efforts to mislead reefers about what it is (an antibiotic) and how it works.

Benepets Benereef has been great for all my corals in the last few years!

Real difference in my corals after switching from Reef Roids to Benepets Benereef! Definitely big change in my phosphate!

Total lifesaver when it comes to acclimating Biota mandarins and fattening them up.


Their refrigerated copepods - the dead ones - not so much. My fish ignored them and they seemed like a that sweet sauce you get with vietnamese eggrolls.
