Nano docile fish mid-water choices?

I am looking to add a final fish to my Biocube 16 nano tank. Currently I have a tailspot Blenny, a Orange Spotted Goby and a teeny panda Goby (1/2"). This will be the last fish I add to this tank. I have no problem with bio load currently. I have plenty of rock and hiding places. My main concern is aggression. I have pretty much ruled out clowns and dottybacks. I have a beautiful firefish and bengaii cardinal in another tank, so I have ruled them out as well. I was thinking of a possum wrasse but I already have three fish that like to hide, and my tank is not swimming in pods, so I will probably wait a year before putting one in. Is there some fish I am missing that you think would just be the perfect addition. I actually had a LFS guy tell me to get a neon dottyback. I was really surprised and another employee said,"That guy is crazy." The only other tank inhabitants are a skunk cleaner shrimp, CUC and easy LPS.

how come you've ruled out clowns? I have 2 ocellaris clowns, and they haven't bothered anyone. I've never had a problem with them. If you don't want that, have you considered fire fish gobies or maybe a peacock cardinal? Those are cool. If you are good with your feeding schedule, maybe you could consider a six line wrasse. It is a beautiful fish

I’d pass on a clown or 6 line - basically the exact opposite of docile.
Most wrasses will stick to the rocks anyway.
Firefish or cardinal would have been my vote. You can always get a different species than what you have.
I’d look at a hector or rainfords goby maybe - more of a lower level fish but more active than what you have.
I’d also look into a candy cane pistol shrimp to go with the orange spotted goby.

Pass on the clowns and six line - the message above explains why. The fire fish the OP have already and I recommend against mixing them unless they’re less than a week old in the tank.

A fish similar in colours to six lines but not aggressive are pink streak wrasse (P’cheilinops ataenia).
I’d recommend another goby (Koumansetta hectori being my personal pick), avoid another fire fish as these aren’t always communal even with other species. Also the orange spotted goby will NOT pair with a pistol shrimp if it’s the species often sold as “Diamond Gobies”. They’re not part of the genus cryptocentrus (“Watchman” gobies) or Stonogobiops (“Hi-Fin Shrimp” gobies).

Firefish and Firefish gobies are the same genus. They’re not going to mix properly and will not go down well unless done properly but even then only one species is known for being communal. Which is the Red Firefish.

You could try a clown goby perhaps? I saw the post about the pistol shrimp. That would be awesome. I'm waiting on a yellow watchman goby with a cany cane pistol shrimp to come.

I have 2 clowns, 2 pajama cardinals, a diamond goby, and I have 2 red firefish. I have never seen them pick at each other.

If firefish are out or would vote for a Hectors or Ranfords goby. Kind of lower half of tank oriented but docile. Hectors are one of my 'favorites list' fish (along with magnifica firefish).

If you only have LPS a clown goby can work out although like most fish you run across the occasional bully. I would not have one though with SPS unless it was pretty big tank.

Isn’t there an amblyeliotris orange spot goby? That one would pair.

I heard that it might be better if you pair your pistol and goby by introducing them together at the same time, but it might work if you add the pistol shrimp now.
