My lta doesn't curl like that

Could he just be deflating from hunger ? Maybe hes exspelling water ? My anemone did this.the other day scared the **** out of me ! After research i was told hes return to home which he did how long has it.been ?

One of the common names for them is "curly Q" anemone, so it is a somewhat normal display of their tentacles.

All were under MH;
First picture, 2*250 over a 75
#2 single 250 over a 29
#3 2*250 over a 58.

Trex- wow, so cool !
Like about, how many curl like that ?

ReeferRookie- I don't know ? I've been thinking of thawing out a store bought, clean piece of shrimp and see what happens. Is this a good or bad idea ?

All of the ones I have kept will do it at one point or another. My current one hasn't been doing it as much lately --- could either be lack of water changes (( had shoulder surgery a couple of months ago, so slacked on them )), or old MH lamps (( slowly setting up a 210, and will break down this tank )).

The smaller the pieces the better, easier to digest and less chance of fouling the internal water of the anemone.

Feed him hes way bigger than mine. And mine eats raw krill. Not silversidez bones are bad for him. Btw. They will do this to exspell bad water insidd of them

I feed all of my anemones chopped squid.
All of them are on the larger side

I'm not a nem expert, but if they are treated with cipro, then it's not a virus they have. Cipro is an antibiotic. So if Cipro works, then it's a bacterial infection.

There are very few effective anti-viral medications in existence, and none that I'm aware of for reef inhabitants...

I just fed "Burber" (carpet) lol,.... a small piece of shrimp from the grocery store. No tail, eye's etc.

I'll take several more shots and post them.

We're surprised, these two shots are 20-30 minutes after I fed him. I was sure, he'd take at least a couple of hours.
He's a PIG ! lol

How's his mouth look,....just fine ?

I just looked again after these pics, and he's nice & thick again and looks happier. Could it be he was just hungry ?

I snapped the photos just when the lights were ramping down for the night.
I do keep 100 percent of my blue LEDs though and about 30 percent white.
I will retake them tomorrow to show the true colors if you like.
My carpet is going on 17 years old I believe.

I'm learning about carpet behavior, so with his foot extending vertically, does this mean he's reaching for the sun and want's more, or just a carpet being a carpet and we don't know what he's doing ?
