I’ve had my bubble tip for a couple months it’s not doing well. Started out great but now it’s not opening up. Its def still alive as it seems to extend its foot at night, but does not extend tentacles. Was able to feed him a week ago, but seems to be getting worse. Attached parameters, pics, and lighting

Thanks
Tony

What are your parameters?

pH and Alkalinity along with Nitrates and Phosphates. Also, salinity.

Maybe try to increase nutrients a little , can bump up nitrate and phosphate at 0 is not good , need to dose phosphate or feed more

I've struggled with keeping phosphates, and I'm also running a fishless tank right and didn't want to overfeed with no fish. (ich problem). Can you recommend for phosphate?

I’ve used neo nitro for nitrate, I believe they also create neophos , you can dose according to the instructions to increase phosphate , I’ve found anemones like a dirty tank, they can pull nutrients from the water to feed and I would recommend not feeding yr nem for a bit

How long have those numbers remained constant?
nem hates any changes...
BTW, MG is way too low at 1050, although this has nothing to do with your nem.

i used reef roids, they never really helped add any testable levels of phosphate for me, +1 neophosphate or other chemical phosphate additives to increase/dose phosphate more accurately

Nutrients are fine. It looks like the nem is at the bottom of the tank. How deep is the tank? That light setting for the AI looks low if the nem is at the bottom. Up your lights.

idk if it would shrivel like that, it should have bleached or moved in low light. tank is a little under a year which i feel may have stability issues. Did you ever figure out what was happening with the sick clownfish? i think it was brook before did you treat in tank?

It’s only a 14 gal nuvo pennisula, do you think that still might be a depth issue??

Which light from AI do you have? I've measured PAR on my AI HD and you need to turn it way up to get good light to penetrate water. If you have any of the "HD" versions, you should be able to bump that up above that line you currently have. My advice is don't chase nutrients right now. All things equal (we of course wouldn't know that since all tanks are different) your numbers are fine. Do not mix topics. That's when things can go wrong. One thing at a time.

Im running the AIPrimehd16, what do you mean by bumping up? Do you settings you can share. Thanks

Nitrates and phosphates at zero are a problem! Everything we keep in our aquariums require phosphate to live, just not a lot. Nitrates are a food source for BTAs and need to be 5-10 minimum for healthy bubble tips.
I know nothing about your light but most people seem to run there LEDs at to low a setting for anemones. I think a lack of nutrients is a much bigger issue in this case.

Bumping up = turning up your lights. Make them more powerful.

There is a difference between what is detectable on our hobby grade tests vs what is apparent in our tanks. There are nutrients in the tank.

That may be but BTAs and most corals will be happier with more nutrients. Of course the quality of test kits can be a big factor. I know my coral and BTAs were not happy when I dropped my levels close to zero.
