Need advice on birdsnest coral

I thought this seriatopora turns yellow fleshed if under too low of light? Mine used to be a nice pink, and I moved it lower and now the skin is almost rainbow like?

I got my one years back from ORA.

However I had other "Pink Birdsnests" over the years, and there was one that turned mostly yellowish and pink mixed as you said.
At one point I decided to keep the Red/Pink one only.

There are many particular species out there I believe.

It might be just me, but I've found the only way that I can't grow a bird's nest is out of the water. IME they are pretty much bullet proof.

I was down stair fragging a bird's nest when my son fell and broke his arm, dropped everything on the table and off to the ER we went, six hours later I came home and stick it in the tank it was fine with minimal loss.

****!!
Lol
Ok
I guess I'll give it a try
But are you dosing anything??

It's an easy coral to be happy.
Maintain ALK and ca and mg, then this guy grows like weed.

The picture I posted earlier is after 3 months of growth from a backup frag I had sitting around.

It's fast!!!!

But I noticed it reacts very well when strontium is kept around 8, I dose strontium on dosing pumps to maintain it there.

As Russ said , birdsnest are pretty hardy and forgiving in dirty water.

If you're in SoCal , I'll give you some birdsnest / stylo frags to try . If not, I'm sure someone will hook you up with some free sps frags to try :)

Im in SoCal, I'll take a birdsnest and stylo to "try"! When should I pick them up??? ;p
