Need advice with table wood

Guys, need advice. Noticed that the tabletop in places where probably 2 years sometimes could run off drops - a little bloated by 1-1.5 mm about 5 cm in length along the aquarium and less than some in some places. How critical can this be. There is an idea to wipe well and varnish this seam additionally, don't want to remove

If you have a mat under the tank, which it looks like you do, it will likely take care of that slight swelling and relieve the pressure point it might otherwise create. Veneered wood and board products often don't fair well long term around our tanks. What you can do to prevent additional water intrusion it to apply a piece of PVC trim (usually it is air expanded rigid foam) to the edge, overlapping the table edge and foam mat and coming up 1cm or so over the tank bottom. Then, caulk that seam between the tank and the PVC trim, so water will run over the trim and drip down, rather than swelling the wood any further. The PVC trim is impervious to water, so lasts much longer than wood. Hope that helps.

Are the gaps at the middle or at the corners?

If it’s a rimmed tank and the gaps at the middle (by this I mean literally anywhere except at the corners) then you should be fine. The wood spanning between the corners doesn’t (and can’t) support the weight of the tank and is there almost entirely to stabilize the legs.

For future reference - for rimmed tanks typically you shouldn’t put a compressible mat underneath. If you ever do a rebuild check with the tank manufacturer if a mat is advisable.

I think you are ok itelshot - your mat should help with any small warping. But, seeing the exposed wood particle board edge, I would encourage sealing that at least, or applying a PVC-ish type edging to prevent any additional water intrusion. Even just painting that exposed edge with some oil-based paint would be helpful.
