Need advice ......

What would you do to fix 0 phosphate? Turn off my phosban reactor or dose phosphate ?

I am really surpristed that feeding 4+ cubes of frozen food in my system every day for a month that im not registering any phosphate on any tests. . .......... seems really bizarre .
Frozen is more healthy for fish and does not add significantly to phosphate. Pellets add more phosphate to the tank. You can feed your corals vitamins to raise phosphate or dose neophos which is what I did. If you have a reactor zeroing out your phosphate perhaps you need to take it offline.

If it says 0 the dinos will tell you that you are wrong
I'm not saying 0 is good. I'm just saying there will be always some amounts of phosphate and Nitrates in our tanks. Yes the Dinos will tell us when we are running on E for phosphate. I agree.

Another reason why I'm going to run ROX .8 Carbon instead of the Chemipure Blue. I want to eliminate the phosphate absorbing resin to see what happens.

Turning the reactor offline is definitely a good start. You can also try feeding your corals Reef Energy AB+. Liquid diet for them with all the good stuff. It's like RedBull for corals. LOL. Plus, it doesn't seem to pollute the tank.

Update .......

Fed Red sea AB + last night and the acan had all the sweepers or tentacales out looking good

Turned off my phosban reactor . Ill test phosphates tonight and again on thursday

SPS and ACan were still looking really good . Its looking like its the coral beauty .......

Maybe if i leave them in acclimation for a few weeks he will leave them alone once the box is removed ?

Yup assuming for sure . I seen many videos from BRS and Red sea that show the PAR levels at differnent parts of the tank at all depths . I figure their studies will be far more accurate then any hokey experiment i will do for PAR readings haha

Clear water typically has proper parameters but no i test everything weekly ?

Car oil coolant and brake fluid typically yes all levels are fine i do have sensors that and gauges for all these and regular scheduled maintanence so not sure how this is relevant ?

You are right i cant rule out lighting . I am assuming for sure . But i have heard people with the same lights running similar setting having success with SPS corals in the same tank so i have all but ruled out lighting as a cause.

In the pictures the sps and acan do look happy? and that is on the sand bed so maybe lighting is getting PAR strong enough to the tank bottom?
You should still test PAR. You may have faulty LED's in one fixture. I have seen it myself, two identical light fixtures can be different from one another, and a couple LED's were only consuming 1 watt when it should be 3 watts and intensity will suffer, and you can't tell the difference by just looking at them.

All the talk about 0 phosphates made me go and change out my Chemipure Blue for Regular ROX 0.8 Carbon. Got a bit nervous. Lol. I was wondering why my sand was looking alittle off so I'll see what happens with a small amount of phosphate. Lol. Added a new skimmer also so we'll see. I'll keep yall updated. Lol

Acan today........ havent had any success keeping them alive so is this one looking healthy or not ?

Looks good to me just aim on raising po4 above zero

4 new corals still looking amazing and exactly as they did when i bought them 6 days ago.

I unplugged my GFO phosban reactor 2 days ago . I actually got a PO4 reading last night 0.06

Nitrates dropped slightly to 18.5 from 18.6 from the last test

its looking more and more like its the coral beauty that has been killing my acans and SPS corals so not sure what i am going to do as i cant keep the new frags in the sandbed under acclimation box forever LOL

Any ideas that arent removing the coral beauty from the tank? LOL

Nothing apart from remove the coral beauty from the display into a different tank

I’ve just changed job so time has been limited and we’ve had postal strikes in the uk so I’ll test my parameters tomorrow

After heavy feeding of reef roids my po4 has risen to 0.181ppm lol time for lanthanum chloride to lower it lol

Update

So after 11 days the new SPS frags and Acan still are looking great and exactly as they did at the LFS when i purchased them. They have been on the sandbed this entire time inside an acclimation box.

This leads me to a question . Everyone says that SPS needs to be medium-high in the tank with medium to high flow.

Well my SPS is in literally the lowest light and lowest flow spot in the tank and doing great how is this possible? i have never had success with SPS and anytime i glue it high up in the tank it slowly fades and dies

This upcoming weekend i am going to take out the acclimation box and glue the new frags to the rocks and if they die i will know that its my coral beauty fish doing the damage . Unless somehow SPS frags do not indeed like high/med flow and high/med lights ???
